Valentine's Day

So, in true Bledsoe fashion, Valentine's Day 2016 lasted a couple weeks. It started nearly a week beforehand when Dust made some side comment that a movie he wanted to see wasn't available in Redbox at our local Publix. I giggled because I had purchased the bluray earlier in the week as a gift for him. My giggle gave me away so I gave him that part of his gift early. I know him pretty well...

That week for Xavier's party at school, we signed up for a dessert. We decided to make cupcake pops. Although we had fun making them together and I hear they turned out yummy, they turned my kitchen into a disaster zone!

DISASTER!

Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of the finished product. They were super cute! :( I did not attend the party as parents weren't asked to attend but X said they had lots of fun! Also, Luke wore the famous Valentine shirt that X has worn every year of his life! The tradition continues!!

Xavier wore 3 years in a row :)

And Lukey wore it this year!

When we got home that evening, there was a big package waiting on our porch for the boys. It was a Valentine's present from Mimi and Papa!

They got lots of cool stuff like a boom boom (gun) a sheriff set, candies, toys and squeezies!

They had so much fun going through it all and playing!

Playing with the boom booms!

The next day (Saturday before Valentine's Day) we went to Cracker Barrel for a yummy lunch and to continue celebrating the holiday of LOVE :)

On Valentine's Day, we started off teh day by having the babies open their present from us!

They got new books and learning games! These were a hit!

We spent the rest of the day enjoying eachother's company. We played outside, played inside, read books, and I made some yummy taco dip and a cheesecake as a special treat. Dustin and I delayed our date night as Luke was still not feeling great.

Fast forward to the next weekend and Dustin and I celebrated each other! We exchanged gifts and went on a nice date. Sydney and Randi watched the babies and Dustin and I were surprised that Xavier was super excited about this as opposed to screaming when we left. He is growing up!

While in the movie, I got these pics from Syd:

Meanwhile, Dustin and I went to a movie, then got dinner and finally stopped at THE CUTEST little wine cafe. This was my favorite part of the night. It was an intimate setting, there was a guy playing keyboard, they served delicious wines, cheese boards and desserts, and we had a wonderful time visiting. :)

While we were at dinner, we got these pics :)

By the time we got home, both babies were in bed. Dustin and I had the rest of the evening to relax and unwind. It was a great date night. We are so blessed :)
