Luke is 9 months old this week. This month was a rough one for him! He has been sick for what seems like forever. We are hopeful that when next month rolls around, we report on how much better the month was :)
This month he decided that he loves the pacifier. It is now a staple in his little life! He can't go without it. He is so silly.
He got 2 more teeth this month which brings the grand total to 4! He can pull himself up, he has started to crawl,, he is holding his own bottle, he is VERY mobile, he is a a pro at walking himself up into seated position from his belly (it's hilarious) and he is beginning to scale the couch.
Because Luke is the 'difficult' baby we of course discovered yet another quirk this month. Luke's gag reflex is SO SENSITIVE. He vomits almost on a daily basis due to this. We have tried to give him puffs, raisins and even just a thicker consistency of sweet potatoes- all which resulted in vomit. Even certain foods (sweets mostly) make him yak. If it isn't liquid (and even sometimes when it is), he can't bear to swallow. Hopefully he grows out of it? The doctor isn't worried about it at all. We have attributed it also to the fact that he has had so much mucus in his throat this month. That isn't helping matters...
There is no such thing as sleep in the Bledsoe household. He gets up anywhere from 10-20 times a night. That is NOT an exaggeration. We are prayerful that once this sickness goes away he may finally for the first time in his life SLEEP!
Even though lots of the stuff mentioned above isn't so great, we wouldn't trade him for the world! He is our BABY!! :)
The monthly photo sessions get more difficult each month... :)
