HAIRCUT!

Right after X's orientation, we went to dinner and then decided it was time to get his haircut. It wasn't a snap decision, I assure you. We've been talking about it forever and I just couldn't bring myself to do it!

We went to Tony's and here we were greeted with a nice man who was ready and willing to take on the bouncing tot, indifferent father, and inconsolable mother...

I kid...it wasn't that bad. But for better or worse, Beanie got 7-8 inches cut off :/

This was his goal...

He was patient for about 2 minutes..

Then he was over it.

Beanie's School Orientation

When I headed back to school this fall, Beanie headed to a new learning center. His class had orientation the same day as my orientation for my 4th graders so we made an appointment to visit later than the other parents.

While we were there, they went over all of the norms with us and then told us that because of Bean's size (he is a giant compared to his peers), the fact that he is potty trained, and other ways he is advance, they want to move him to the 3 year old class way before next August. They mentioned evaluating this in December or sooner so we will see! Over all it went great and we are happy with our decision to put him in this center :)

Here we go!

Mimi and Papa in Tallahassee!

As I mentioned, my parents came back to Tally with us. They stayed at a hotel down the road but spent the majority of their time at our new house helping me paint and decorate. It was a week full of nice dinners, hard work, and quality time spent together :) When they left on Saturday, it was horrible. Somehow Bean knew they weren't coming back and he stood in front of the door and refused to let them leave. We all cried and cried. Sometimes living so far from family is just downright miserable :(

Luckily they are coming back for my birthday so we will see them soon!

Sweet Home Indiana: Part 5

The next morning, Beanie went to spend the morning with grandma Nene while I went up to the hospital to see Kylee and Ledger. We were hoping to see Granny Ruth and Grandpa Warren but it just wasn't possible. We were super bummed but we will see them at Christmas :)

Xavier had lots of fun playing all morning and was "as good as gold" or so I am told ;)

After visiting with Nene, we went back to the Clouse's house again! We saw them more in this one trip than in the last 5 years combined. It was nice :)

We spent the day schwimmin' and playing outside. Beanie had a ball with his first and second cousins!

For dinner, we all grabbed some tacos and took them to the park. The kids had a BLAST! They played for a good hour and a half. Xavier was in heaven and insisted on playing on all of the tallest slides and equipment.

Dinner

After dinner, we went back up to the hospital for just a bit to check on Ky.

Bryar Kissin' Ledger

Uncle Evan!
After the hospital, we headed back to my parents and called it a night.

Poor Dog!

The next morning, my mom, dad, X, and I all headed to the farm. We started a yummy roast and waited for Drew and Carol to drop Bryar off. My parents had a wedding to go to so I watched the boys and finished dinner for Evan and Kylee.

They were both happy to be home!

Kylee and Evan got home around 5 with this precious bundle of joy!!!

After dinner, Evan took the boys out for a gator ride...and Beanie didn't last long. He passed out!

Evan sent me this picture and said Bean wanted them all to hold hands :):):)

We headed home after I got Ky all settled in. We went back to my mom and dad's house for the evening.

Excuse the remodel mess in the background :) Tam is at it again!

Sitting on a Barbie chair haha
The next day, I spent the morning and afternoon with the Stakeman's and said goodbye in the late afternoon. Next, we headed to the farm one last time to say goodbye to the Brands. Goodbyes stink :'(

These are the toys he wanted to steal from Bryar and take home haha

We went back to my parents that evening and started the packing process. By the time I got home, my mom had completed and folded our laundry and all I had to do was throw it in the suitcase! I spent the remainder of the evening charging electronics, searching their house for miscellaneous items Bean had scattered and preparing the car for long trip.

My parents told me the day I arrived that they were going to escort me home. I knew that they would. So they too spent the evening packing and preparing for the trip to Florida. In the end, we were in bed by 11PM with alarms set for 4AM.

We woke up and were on the road just before 5AM. My mom road with my dad until just after Nashville and then got in the car with me and Bean to keep him company. This time, he wasn't quite as behaved as the trip to Indiana but he was still good considering what we were asking of a two year old! After driving for hours and hours, we made it home on Monday evening at 6 PM. Whew! What a trip! And we still had the week to spend with my parents to look forward to :)
