Bean Wanted Everyone To Know...

He is going to be a big brother again!!!! :)

We are thrilled :)

On a lighter note...I also had to share the "outtakes", if you will, of this photo shoot. It took quite a while to get Bean to pose just so...here are some of the funny pics!

Cookie the Elf!

While we were ornament shopping, we picked up an "Elf on the Shelf." If you don't know what this is, you need to google it. It is quite possibly one of the cutest Christmas traditions a family can do. Basically, you adopt an elf, read the story to the children, name the elf and then invite the elf to stay with you until Christmas. The elf sits quietly in your home and watches the kids and then reports back to Santa each night at the North Pole. The funniest part of all of it is that sometimes the elf is naughty and gets itself into fixes :) Each morning, the elf seems to be in a new place!

Below is the video of Xavier listening to the story and naming his elf all on his own.

After just a day or two, Xavier quickly realized that each morning, he would have to search for his friend, Cookie. He has so much fun trying to find his elf and he finds it hilarious. He will literally, out of no where, point to it in the evening, after it has been wherever it has been all day, and laugh and say "Silly Cookie!" It is so cute.

I have attached a few pictures of where the elf has ended up but we have a feeling as Cookie gets more comfortable in our home, he will get into more and more trouble ;-)

Christmas Tree Time!

After shopping for our ornaments, we went straight home and got out the Christmas tree supplies…

Beanie helping Daddy!

My strong boys!
The Christmas tree went up, and then the fun began…placing the ornaments. Xavier was into it more than ever this year! He would pick up an ornament and say "mine" or "mommy's" or "daddy's" depending on whose he thought was whose. He did pretty good! He did, however, claim a few extra were his own that weren't… :)

Placing my Minnie mouse which he INSISTS is his "Ninnie!"

Putting the star up with daddy! A tradition three years running!

The very last ornament that we placed was Penelope's. Xavier and Dust put it on the tree together and it was a very special moment.

Finally, after lots of hard work (mostly on Bean's end) the tree was done! We quickly realized that our ornament collection is growing rapidly! Dustin and I even talked about getting a new, bigger tree for next year so that we have more room!

Annual Ornament Shopping :)

Last weekend something that never happens, happened. We had no plans! We decided to take advantage of the situation and go get our yearly ornaments. As I mentioned before, I got mine in October (and there is a post coming on that because Xavier is OBSESSED!!!!) but Bean and Dust needed to get theirs!

We started at Walmart and were totally unimpressed….

Looking for something good :)

We quickly decided that none of the ornaments there were good enough so we bought some wrapping paper and headed on to Target. We have always had pretty good luck at Target so we thought we would try that before driving the 25 minutes to Hallmark.

Once we got there, we made a beeline for the Holiday section. Xavier IMMEDIATELY spotted Jake- a popular Disney character from his ABSOLUTE favorite show"Jake and the Neverland Pirates" and shouted "My Jake!!!!" He wouldn't even dream of looking at the other ones and put it in the cart. He held it tightly as we meandered through the store.

Jake!

Obsessed!

Christmas 2014 Ornament- Jake
As for daddy, it was a toss up as he found two (horrendous) ornaments that he couldn't decide between- a dinosaur and Raphael the Ninja Turtle. He is bound and determined to turn my Christmas tree into an eyesore :)

Hmm...

Beanie helped decide...

Dino wins!!

Delivery for Bean!

Last weekend, my mom called me to chat for a bit and then informed me that there was a package on the way for Beanie, Mama and Daddy to share. We had no idea what to expect because my mom and dad do totally random things sometimes. Not too long after, the UPS man showed up. I was still on the phone while I opened the box and was totally surprised to find our favorite donuts!

It was too funny!! Apparently I had mentioned in a text earlier in the week that I was craving a Square Donut and so my dad got up bright and early the next morning, got a dozen, and went straight to UPS to over night them :) My parents are just so thoughtful.

We don't normally indulge in things like donuts so this was a special occasion :)

Thanks Mimi and Papa for brightening our Saturday :) We love you!!!
