Easter 2013...and Crawling!

Today was baby's first Easter and even though he doesn't quite understand the concept, we had lots of fun :)

Yesterday a package that my mom and dad sent for Beanie arrived. It was full of Easter goodies and Xavier especially loved the Easter grass haha!

Easter Package!

Spoiled Rotten!

8 Outfits, 3 books, bubbles, teethers, toys and candy!

Thanks Mimi and Papa! I love you!

After all of Mimi's goodies, it was time to see what the Easter Bunny brought!

Lots of new books, clothes, a sippy cup and more! Of course his favorite part was the grass and the eggs. Typical :)

Here are some cute vids from Easter morning, including the first video of him crawling!

Dust's Powerlifting Meet :)

Before we really even had a chance to unpack from Dustin's trip to Boards in Daytona and our trip to Indiana, we packed up and headed for Fort Lauderdale. Dustin competed in the Florida State Powerlifting Championships.

On our way to South Florida!

This is something that he has been training for and cutting weight for for nearly 15 weeks. His discipline and intrinsic motivation is amazing to watch. He is so inspiring.

We arrived at our beautiful hotel around 5 and got settled. We spent the evening at the location site for the meet as well as doing some last minute preparations for the meet. We turned in early so that we would be ready for the long day ahead.

Our View!

Crabby but cute!

Big Bed!

Joy!

Up high!

When we woke up, we headed straight for the competetion. Dustin was nervous about making weight...so we were releived when he came in nearly 3 pounds under!

So Photogenic...

Staring at daddy!

Starbucks!

He spent the day backstage texting me and keeping me updated and Xavier and I spent the day in the audience watching the lifts and cheering on daddy! It was surprisingly a really cool experience and Dust did amazing...as to be expected. During one of his last lifts, Xavier saw him and yelled out "Dada!" It was quiet enough that even Dustin heard it and the people around me thought it was the cutest thing (it was)!

Cat nap!

Benching

Deadlifting

Squatting

The people in the audience were very impressed with him, as were the judges.

Proud of my Daddy!

GO DADDY!

Silver Medalist!!!!

Congrats dada!

Beanie is next...

Number one fans!

He received 2nd place overall in his division and got a silver medal!

While we were there, I took videos of all of his lifts. He took them and compiled them into one video...Enjoy!

Xavier and I were so very proud of him! He is truly an amazing man.

Florida, Here We Come!

Before we knew it, it was time to say goodbye. Sunday evening, Xavier and I went to Bryan's to spend a little more time with him and Deneen. We had a great time and Xavier was in rare form.

When we got back to my parent's house around 9, I put Xavier down and spent a few more hours with my sisters and parents. Us girls were so silly and  my parents just sat and listened to our crazy anecdotes for hours. It was a great way to end an amazing vacation. I miss them so much when I am home. They are my best friends :)

Ky!

Before we knew it, it was Monday again and we were headed home. We said goodbye to my family one last time and headed for the airport. When we arrived, my parents came in and made sure we got to the security checkpoint with all of our stuff. Although I already miss them immensely, I realized that saying goodbye is much easier when I have a wonderful husband waiting on me at home :)

Saying Goodbye :(

Cousins!

The flight went as expected. Xavier slept most of the way and I, too, napped on and off. We upgraded to a first class seat so that we had a little bit more room. I knew that Dustin couldn't be mad at me for spending the extra money because he had missed us too much :)

When we got home, Xavier and Dustin were elated to see eachother. It was a beautiful scene.

We miss our families so very much...but it is good to be home...and back in warm weather!
