For my spring break this year, Dustin and I decided that it would be a great opportunity for the baby and I to head home for a week. He had boards at the end of this same week, so it worked out perfectly that we go away and leave him to his studies. This was great in theory...but we missed him sooo much!
Surprisingly, getting through the airport with Xavier and all of our "stuff" wasn't too bad. After a sad goodbye, Dust drove off and Beanie and I were on our own for the next 8 days.
Xavier was very well behaved in the airport and we played while waiting on our plane :) Once we boarded, he fell asleep almost immediately and dozed on and off until we landed. He, again, received many compliments on how well behaved he was!

Once we landed, my dad was at baggage claim waiting for us. It was so great to see him :) He helped us with the luggage, carseat, and everything else that is necessary when traveling with an infant. Although we Skype with my family often, Xavier's reaction to him was hilarious. He kept looking at him suspiciously. It was as if he was thinking "I think I know you........"
We spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to hook up the carseat (Dustin always does it...) and then headed for Terre Haute.

When we reached my parents house, my sisters and their precious babies were waiting on us :) We spent the evening catching up, loving on babies and letting Xavier warm up to everyone. It didn't take long. We were very happy to be home!
