Weekend Fun

Last weekend, we went back to Cascade Parks for Xavier to play in the water. It was a lot of fun and he got more adventurous the longer we were there.

Mother's Day Weekend 2014

What a wonderful weekend! My boys really know how to make me feel special :)

It started off with gifts that Xavier brought home from school. Dustin got them from his teachers and had him bring them to me all ceremoniously. He was so proud of them and they were adorable!

Dustin also got me the sweetest card from both him and Xavier and had him sign it without me knowing.

We spent the day shopping, eating out and playing together. It was perfect :) I love my boys!

Stunting with Daddy

So I've been "stunting" with Xavier for nearly 6 months now. It is second nature to me as I was a cheerleader for 12 years of my life and Xavier LOVES it. Well, Dustin never being a cheerleader before, struggled to get it down. They have been gotten much better recently though and it is SO funny to watch :)

Thirsty!

Last week, Beanie accompanied me to the 4th grade program where my kiddos put on a spring play for their parents. It was adorable and Beanie was very well behaved...until he noticed the water fountain that was just his size. He spent the last 10 minutes of the program drinking water and getting soaked. I needed him to be quiet so I just went with it. It was pretty funny. Many of the parents around us decided he was more interesting than the play because they just watched and watched and laughed as he quenched his thirst :)

Daddy Massage!

We've blogged many times about how Xavier LOVES massages. Last week Dust lathered him all up with lotion and I got some cutie patooty pics :)

Doggy Impersonation

Xavier's loves to impersonate animals these days. Anytime he sees an owl, he "Hoos" and any time he sees a cat he "meows" but his favorite animal to impersonate is...you guessed it, a dog!

When Midnight comes in from outside, Dustin typically sprays her with dog perfume so she doesn't smell. Her immediate reaction is to roll on the ground like a freak to get the scent off of her and Xavier jumps right it in. It's hilarious. It's beyond hilarious.


Also, every time we see a dog-- a picture of a dog, a live dog, a dog on tv-- you name it, he points and says "gog!" and then sticks his tung out and pants. He also will bark and howl, depending on his mood. He is a character!

Arts and Crafts

So one of the great things about Bean's daycare is that they do lots of art work! It is a ritual in our home now that when Xavier gets a piece that he has completed at daycare, we all make a very big deal. He is so proud! It is so cute!

When it comes home from daycare we make a big to do and put it on the refrigerator. Whatever had been on the refrigerator previously is then transferred (in an elaborate way, of course) to the play room. Sometimes he just goes into the playroom to show me his artwork. He is so stinkin' cute!!!!!

Sometimes when Dustin thinks I need a minute to myself, he takes the Bean to the grocery store. Xavier is always very eager to go and I have always heard stories of how much fun they have. Well, recently we all went to Publix and I found out why! They act like complete crazy people! They are hilarious (albeit slightly obnoxious) and I got them on video this time :)

Nuberri

Last weekend, we took Xavier for his very first frozen yogurt. There is a cool place in town called Nuberri. It is bright, fun and more importantly, it is health conscious. They offer organic, low fat, low calorie, and fat free options that we don't have to feel guilty about giving to beans :)

We had such a cute little date, the three of us! It was a lot of fun and, surprise surprise, Xavier loves frozen yogurt!

Stratton Alan Stakeman

On Sunday, my older sister and brother-in-law had their fourth child. Every baby is special, but Stratton is just a little extra special because Kimberly was pregnant with him while we were pregnant with Penelope. It is a wonderful thing to experience pregnancy at the same time as someone you love so very much. We are so happy for Kimberly, Neil, Layla, Charlie, and Jack. We love you Stratton!!! :)
