Clayton just left and we had so much fun! It was nice having family around and Dustin especially enjoyed spending time with him :)
Thursday, we picked him up and went to dinner. As I mentioned before, we went to the Cheesecake Factory. We had a lot of fun catching up and hearing about Clay's first flight ever!

After dinner and dessert, we headed home and when we arrived in our driveway, Beanie was out for the night! I quickly changed him and put him to bed and he slept all night!
Friday, I headed to work and took Xavier to homecare so that Clayton and Dustin could have some "boy" time :) The spent the WHOLE day playing video games.
Literally 6 hours...
When Xavier and I got home, we all four jumped in the car and headed to the pediatrician where Xavier had his stitches removed. Then we went home and had a cook out! Dustin was in charge of the hamburgers, I was in charge of the asparagus and Clay was in charge of the corn on the cob. It was delicious! We spent the evening visiting and watching the NBA playoffs (snooze) and headed to bed pretty early. We are old.

Saturday we woke up bright and early and headed to the beach! Xavier was not too keen on the water so we had to hold him high out of the waves. I got the CUTEST pictures!!!!!

That evening, I made my grandma's lasagna recipe (which Dustin openly admits isn't as good as Bryan's recipe) and we sat around the TV and relaxed. It was another night full of basketball and easy conversation.

Sunday morning, we decided to go back to the beach...and I am so glad we did!

This time we had sand toys and Xavier warmed up to the waves...he even sat on the shoreline and played with his shovel :) When we got in the water, he seemed to enjoy it. I got even CUTER pictures this day!

That evening we went to Keegan's Seafood Grille. It is a local diner that has been on the food network show "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives." Although I was apprehensive at first glance...it ended up having pretty good food.

After dinner we went to a small ice cream parlor and enjoyed a sweet treat! Xavier especially enjoyed his seat on the table :)

On Monday, I went to work, Xavier went to homecare, and Dustin and Clayton spent the day at the gym, eating pizza and playing video games. They picked Xavier and I up and we hung out at my school for a bit before taking Clay to the airport.
We were so sad to see him go. Dustin kept saying that it was nice to have someone around with "similar interests." He misses his little brother. Xavier misses his uncle, too! Clayton was SO good with him! He is going to be an excellent father one day.
What an amazing young man Clay has become. We are both so proud of him. Words can not express how thankful to God we are for the recent turn of events in Clay's life. What a blessing he is to our family :)
