Viva Las Vegas!

As a belated 10th Wedding Anniversary gift to each other, Dustin and I flew to Vegas on my 32nd birthday weekend. We had literally the best time and it is a trip we will always remember.

My wonderful parents came a few days before we left so they could spend some time with all of us. It was so nice to have them here.

Dustin and I left for Jacksonville Thursday evening after work. We stayed the night and caught the first flight out the next morning. We were in Vegas by 10AM.

Parents Gone Wild!!! LOL

Our Resort

Once we got off the plane, we Ubered to our hotel.

We checked our luggage in at concierge and spend the morning/afternoon exploring and eating sushi for lunch!

Such a good sport while I shop :)

View from our room...pics don't do it justice!

We stayed at the New York New York Hotel and Casino. Our room was really nice :)

Roller Coaster right outside our window

Once we got situated in our room, we went back out for some exploring and shopping.

By mid afternoon, we headed back to shower and get ready for our night! The three hour time difference was rough but we powered through! Excuse the photo shoot below but we never get dressed up so we took lots of pics LOL

That evening, we went to a show. We saw Cirque du Soile Zumanity and it was amazing. We really enjoyed ourselves. We spent the remainder of the weekend adventuring into the wee hours of the morning and capped our day off with a slice of pizza before heading back.

The next morning, it was my birthday. We got up super early, picked up our rental car and headed for the highlight of our trip...hiking Red Rock Canyon! There are no words to express the beauty! We hiked 6 miles to the top of Turtle Head Peak. It was phenomenal. We could see the Vegas skyline and into the next state. We had the best day.

LOL we were tired.....

Just a couple of kids...

We climbed to the top of that!

It was really hard but we were both so excited to have accomplished it! We promised each other while we were up there that we would take the boys to see all the things and climb all the mountains :)

exhausted

We decided we earned a treat and took some dessert up to our room... :)

After resting up  and showeing, we got dolled up for my birthday dinner! We had reservations at Hexx Kitchen at the Paris Resort.

Leather pants are ok in Vegas on your birthday....

Afterward, Dustin took me on a birthday ride on the High Roller (The tallest Ferris Wheel in the World)! Seeing the strip from that height was AMAZING. Such an awesome memory! My husband is the best :)

We spent the rest of the night (morning...) exploring and taking it all in. We walked 38,000 steps this day (17 miles). We didn't feel a bit guilty about the delicious food and drinks we ate to celebrate!

Ceasar's Palace

Throughout the trip, we obviously were in constant contact with my parents and the babies. They didn't miss us a bit which made our trip that much easier to enjoy. They LOVED every second with my parents and were spoiled rotten.

The next morning we got up and went for breakfast at Il Forniao. It was delicious and the cocktails were on point.

After breakfast we went to the Aquaurium at Mandalay Bay. It was really nice!

For lunch, we caught a happy hour and toasted to our last evening in Vegas.

And then did some more shopping...

We literally spent $100+ on Starbucks this trip. Thank goodness for teacher gift cards LOL

Meanwhile, pics from home...

For our last night, we got dressed up and went to a Vegas Buffet. We went to the one at the Aria respot. It was yum!

After dinner, we got some yummy drinks and walker 400 miles (ok 2...) to The Venetian where Dust took me on a romantic gondola ride. This was a bucket list item for me!

The next morning, we did some more shopping, hit up the casino, and ate a little bit more yummy food before ubering to the airport.

The Grand Canyon

We had the BEST time. I am so thankful for a husband that I love and can call my very best friend. He makes me feel special and loved every single day. Cheers to 10 and 100 more.
