Basketball 2019

After a great fall basketball season through the Upward program at a local church, Xavier decided he wanted to pass on t-ball this year and double up on Basketball. We found a new program for him to play in that had a winter season and --voila!-- two back to back Bball seasons it was :)

The league he played with this winter ran January- March and was a much more aggressive league. He learned a lot and had fun! Also, Grandpa and Niki were able to attend almost every game! Mimi and Papa made it to one, too.

At the first game, our sweet boy won the medal of the week for his listening skills. That and the trophy he earned at the end of the season have both been added to the growing awards shelf in the play room.

We are so proud of this sweet boy and the hard work he put in this season!

Pastries with Parents

The day after Valentine's day was also full of love! Xavier had a program at school for Dustin and I to attend. It was so stinking sweet! He made us gifts and sang a sweet song. I may have cried....it's fine. LOL

We just love this boy and are so thankful for an amazing school and teacher!

Disney and Legoland 2019

We decided to take the boys to Orlando this February. We had heard the crowds at Disney were better this time of year and we KNEW the weather would be better. It was kind of a Valentine present for them and kind of a "we-need-a-get-away" type trip. There was no real reason for it other than we wanted to have some fun! We also visited Legoland with the boys for the first time which was AMAZING! We highly recommend and will definitely be going back!

It was nice to spend 3 days together with nothing but fun on the brain :) We left on Saturday and stayed through Monday night. While theme park vacations are definitely not relaxing, the boys had a blast. Side note- we did not tell the boys where we were going...only that we had a surprise weekend planned for them. X guessed SeaWOrld and Dinsey. Luke guessed Mimi's and the beach.

I didn't let them watch me pack LOL

Here we go!
After sleeping in the hotel Saturday night, we got up and headed for Legoland as soon as it opened.

When the kids realized we were at Legoland, we could tell they had no idea what to expect. Spoiler alert: we had more fun a Legoland than Disney! It was great. No lines, perfect weather and great attractions.

Luke was TOAST! LOL

There was tons to do for both boys at this park. I think our kiddos are the perfect ages for it! There was a mix of attractions that allowed X to bigger roller coasters but also some that Luke could do, too. We loved it! Here are some cute videos.

After spending all day at the park, we headed away from Winter Haven and toward Orlando. We checked into our new hotel and then promptly drove down the street to a Cici's pizza buffet that the kiddos were excited about.

Living his best life LOL

After dinner, we went back to the suite to settle in for the night. The kids decided they NEEDED to sleep on the pullout which was pretty cute. Of course, Luke only lasted a couple hours before winding up in bed with me...

The next morning, the kiddos still had no idea where we were going until they saw daddy's shirt! He was able to use the shirt from our last trip but mine was a tank and the boys' were too small so my friend made the three of us an updated version.

The babies were thrilled when they learned we were spending the day with Mickey. Off we went to open the park!

We had a good time at Disney. Unfortunately the crowds seemed to be the same as they are in June. Either that, or the workers were just not as efficient this time of year. The fastpast lines were unimpressive and it took FOREVER to get our will-call tickets. We were able to ride all the rides we wanted and it was a monumental trip for both boys! Luke got to ride Splash Mountain for the first time (and rode it three times!) and X got to ride Space Mountain for the first time! We definitely have raised some coaster lovers :)

We had lunch at one of our fav spots. The view is always nice :)

View from our table

The only time we had to split up was when X wanted to ride space mountain. Mama took him and Daddy took Luke to Small World!

LOVED IT!

Daddy napping on People Mover lol

Last ride was Splash mountain for time number 3. Mama opted not to go and to film instead. Thank goodness...they got SOAKED this time!

Overall it was a great trip filled with fun and funnies! We are so thankful that we are able to take trips like these! They keep us moving :)

Here are some cute Disney Videos!
