Mickey Mouse Clubhouse :)

Bean's favorite show is "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" on Disney Junior. Dustin and I decided to film his reaction one day because he gets so excited! This reaction, while it is not his most dramatic, it's still funny. He smiles so big and is MESMERIZED!

Dr. Visit

Last Monday, Beanie went to the doctor. He has been congested for several weeks and has recently developed a cough. We have tried many natural home remedies but none seem to have worked so we took him to get a check up just in case!

When we arrived, we were not surprised by his weight...22lbs 11oz. He just keeps getting bigger and bigger :)

The doctor checked him out and determined that he was perfectly healthy and the little congestion was nothing to be concerned with. The next doctor's visit he has will be to get his next round of shots. In the meantime, he remains perfect :)

We are so thankful for our healthy Bean!

Waiting patiently at the Doctor :) Such a good baby!

Happy Thanksgiving!

While I would love to write about how exciting and enjoyable Beanie's first Thanksgiving was, it simply isn't true. This week, I had my wisdom teeth removed so our Thanksgiving was very uneventful. We have spent the long weekend laying around and snuggling rather than attending family get-togethers and completing fun activities.

Post-surgery...Dustin thought it would be funny to wrap Beanie's spitty around him like my ice pack :)

Dustin, of course, took amazing care of baby and I.

Daddy takes such good care of us!
This year, I traded in turkey for applesauce...and Dustin traded in noodles for doughnuts :)

Dustin's Thanksgiving treat...

I must admit, it was nice just lounging around the house together for a few days though and we are still so thankful for our many blessings. :)

BABY FOOD!

Last weekend, we decided that it was time to introduce Xavier to baby food. He has been sitting up for longer periods of time and is getting stronger every day so we went for it!

After extensive research, we chose to start with apples. We caught it on video and he seemed to pick up the concept pretty quickly. Needless to say he LOVED it!

After Dust stopped filming, Beanie got more and more interested. Apparently, I wasn't feeding him fast enough!

This was hilarious and we can't wait to introduce more foods to him!

Turkey Bowl!

Every year before Thanksgiving, Dustin's school puts on a "Turkey Bowl." This is where students, staff and family play a football tournament. Dustin has played the previous two years but decided to sit this year out. Friday night, we decided to go watch and socialize. It was still fun as spectators and Beanie loved all of the attention :) We left earlier than usual because it got chilly but we had a great time!

The Great American Teach In :)

This post really doesn't have anything to do with Beanie...but I had to share!

Last week at my school, we had the "Great American Teach In." This is the same thing as career day. One of my friends was the one who organized it and she asked Dustin if he would come in and speak to the students about Chiropractic Medicine. He agreed and did an AMAZING job. He got RAVE reviews from the kids and everyone enjoyed the program he put together very much! I think he even enjoyed it himself :)

He is such a good hubby and daddy!

Here are some cute pics I took throughout the day!

I am so proud of him:)

Weekend in Daytona

Last weekend, we spent the weekend in Daytona. Dustin had  a Motion Palpation Seminar for school so Beanie and I went along for the ride. Our room had an ocean view and it was nice to just get away for a couple days after the rough month we have had. It wasn't a very exciting weekend, but we were fine with that :)

Family :)

While we were home for my grandma's funeral, we were able to see several very special family members. Many friends and family members at the funeral were able to meet Beanie for the first time. Obviously we spent time with our parents and siblings. These visits were definitely bright spots in an otherwise dreary trip home.

Most importantly, we were able to see brand new baby Jack, our newest nephew. He was only 6 days old so it was precious to hold him when I didn't think I would be able to until Christmas. As usual it was wonderful seeing Layla, Charlie, Bryar and my sisters and brothers. We didn't get to spend as much time as we would have liked with them due to the kiddos getting the stomach flu while we were there.

Jack Calvin!

We also got to see Aunt Fritz while we were in town. We visited with her for a couple hours and of course Dustin had a snack. It was wonderful to see her :)

We stopped by Grandma Lucy's house, too! She held Xavier and played with him. He LOVED her ceiling fan (he loves ALL ceiling fans) and we visited and chatted until Xavier got grumpy. It was nice to see her, especially because it was unplanned.

We also saw my mom's parents several times while we were home. This was the second time that they were meeting Beanie and the first time, Xavier pooped on my grandpa's suit at Kylee's wedding so this went much more smoothly :) It was wonderful to see them together :)

Beanie is 1 of 23 grandchildren and great grandchildren to be rocked by grandpa in this chair :)

Our last night in Indiana was spent with the Ross's. Dustin's grandparents graciously allowed us to sleep over in their guest bedroom in Indianapolis and they took us to the airport early Sunday morning. It was wonderful to spend time with them and Clayton stayed over too so it was very special to us. We had a great time visiting and Beanie took to his great grandparents and Uncle Clay immediately.

We are blessed to have such a wonderful family :)
