Teacher Appreciation

A couple weeks ago was teacher appreciation for the boys' teachers as well as me! It is always such a fun week to celebrate those who have such a huge impact on their little lives and to feel appreciated as a teacher myself! Here are some cute pics from the week!

Mother's Day

I have to start this post by saying this was easily the best Mother's day I have had yet!  Dustin and my precious babies spoiled me rotten. I felt so loved, adored and appreciated and this day will stay with me for years to come. Thank you Dustin Ryan for making me feel so special! I love you to the moon and back!! :)

Like all holidays, this one started at school. The boys made some amazing gifts for me and I'll admit they made me tearful! I opened them first thing Mother's Day morning. I will keep them and treasure them always!

After opening gifts, I ran to the gym for some "me" time.  I also put the gift Dust bought me to good use- some new bluetooth headphones!

By the time I got home, my sneaky little guys had gone to get donuts and a yummy coffee for me!! Xavier was very proud of his idea- LOL!

As always, Dustin's card was the best part :)

We spent the rest of the day playing outside, going for a walk, and snuggling!

After playing all day, we were hungry!

After trying 100 (ok, 9 or 10) Chinese restaurants in Tallahassee with no success, we decided to give one more business a shot. My intern had told me about a place that apparently was amazing so Dustin headed out for some takeout. To our delight it was amazing and after 3.5 years in Tallahasee, we finally found our Chinese takeout!!!

I am so blessed to be a mama to my precious boys and am so blessed to do life with such an amazing man. <3

Finishing Strong!

The last week of VPK was very telling for our little Xavier. We recieved his end of year progress report and were astounded with what his teacher had to say. As you can see below, he has met all expectations for the program and exceeded expecations in 3 of the 4 areas! He is our smart little guy and we are so proud of his hard work this year and SO thankful to be able to send him to such a stellar preschool. He has learned so much at Annsworth Academy and he is ready to rock kindergarten!!

Likewise, every goal he has had for the entire year as been accomplished. This means that this summer, while I will continue to put emphasis on academics, there is no pressure to "get him ready!" We can relax, have fun, and enjoy our time together stress free! :)

Once I picked the boys up from school last week and saw his report, I texted Dustin immediately. Dustin was so proud of our little guy that he made a pit stop for some toys! We explained to Xavier that this was a result of his hard work and dedication. He was so proud of himself and so thankful for the surpise :)

I am one thankful mama :) Ready or not, kindergarten here we come!

We Have a Graduate!!!

On May 12, 2017, our first born, our beanie, our love bug has graduated from VPK! He starts kindergarten this fall. We JUST can't believe it. Don't blink. It goes so very fast!

That morning we sent him to school for rehearsal. Dustin ran into work just to get a few things done while I went to the gym. We met at home, got cleaned up, and headed for the church!

Once we arrived, we grabbed a seat and waited for the procession to begin! Once it started, we could see our little guy searching for us. We waved him down and he was SO excited to see Dustin. He kepy telling all of his friends "That's MY daddy!" It was amazing.

Unfortunately throughout the performance we couldn't always see him because of his height. He is just tall enough to be in back but not tall enough to see :( That is ok though, we could hear him sing from a mile away! He was really into it!

Afterward, we got a pic of him with his amazing teacher, Ms. Becky!

And then the obligatory pics outside!

Dust even had the grad take a pic of his proud parents!! :) The angle cracks me up!

Next, it was on to a celabratory lunch. Our Beanie chose Red Elephant like most of his friends so lunch was a little chaotic but so fun :)

They left me for the game room...

After some food and games, it was time to head home to spend some special time with our special grad :)

Here are the videos of his performances. Pay special attention to him talking into the mic! Oh, sweet memories!!!

North Florida Christian, here we come!

Swimming!

We had a great swim season this year! It took a few days for Beanie to get back in the groove but after that, he was a fish! He spent the last week in the deep end and I feel VERY confident in his swimming and his ability to be safe near pools! As always, we are thankful for our Ms. Randi for being the best teacher there is!

Swim friends for 3 years :)
