Cascade Park

Sunday, while Dustin was at the gym, Xavier and I went for a walk at the new park here in town. It is called "Cascade Park" and it definitely lives up to its name. It is gorgeous and Xavier and I had a great mommy-baby date :)

First, we walked around for about an hour. He loved pointing out the flowers or "flos" as he called them. Also, the birds or the "tweets." There were also dogs everywhere we looked (which is his absolute favorite thing in the world) so of course he said "gog" and did his impersonation of a dog the whole time. (Don't worry- this post is on its way).

DUCKS!

His favorite part of the walk, however, were the ducks. There were so many in the pond and there were little baby ducks too! For a half an hour he said "Duck Quack Quack!" And when we were leaving that area of the park he waved bye to them until they were out of sight. It was precious. Our little  man LOVES animals.

After a brisk walk, we stopped and played at the cascade pool. Xavier was very apprehensive, but he humored me long enough to get some cute pictures.

Next, we went to the map of Florida. I thought it would be cute to get a pic of him sitting in the counties that he has lived in. He was totally into it and even pointed to Tallahassee for me :)

Our last stop was the slide. This park is more about nature and less about the playground but there is a small area with water tables and a slide. He went down it no less than 20 times. I couldn't pull him away and when I did, he threw a fit! Luckily, he loves his stroller so it was a short-lived fit.

Climbing by himself!

Fastest slide ever...

HE IS SO BIG!

We had such an amazing time together. I love our little man so much!

All tuckered our after our day at the park :)

  1. Beautiful park & play area - Xavier seems fearless about climbing, i was nervous watching
him go up the steps but i should have known you were right behind him. Dustin loved animals
also when he was a little guy, so it comes naturally.
