Cookie the Elf!

While we were ornament shopping, we picked up an "Elf on the Shelf." If you don't know what this is, you need to google it. It is quite possibly one of the cutest Christmas traditions a family can do. Basically, you adopt an elf, read the story to the children, name the elf and then invite the elf to stay with you until Christmas. The elf sits quietly in your home and watches the kids and then reports back to Santa each night at the North Pole. The funniest part of all of it is that sometimes the elf is naughty and gets itself into fixes :) Each morning, the elf seems to be in a new place!

Below is the video of Xavier listening to the story and naming his elf all on his own.

After just a day or two, Xavier quickly realized that each morning, he would have to search for his friend, Cookie. He has so much fun trying to find his elf and he finds it hilarious. He will literally, out of no where, point to it in the evening, after it has been wherever it has been all day, and laugh and say "Silly Cookie!" It is so cute.

I have attached a few pictures of where the elf has ended up but we have a feeling as Cookie gets more comfortable in our home, he will get into more and more trouble ;-)
