Spring Break 2016: Part 1

This year for Spring Break, we met my parents at a Resort in Sandestin. This beautiful area is only a 2.5 hour drive for us and it is a gorgeous location! It is near Destin, FL and a lot of other little seaside towns. We had a blast!

It took me several days to prepare our family of four for a nearly week long trip but it was worth it!

So excited for a break!

We left Tallahassee the first Saturday afternoon of our break and were at lunch with my parents in no time. After our meal we shopped at an amazing outlet mall that they have there. We had lots of fun and got some goodies. They had a Disney store there so of course we had to get the boys a couple things for being so good!

When we got to the condo my parents had rented, we got the boys settled.

Xavier was dying to get out to the beach so Dustin and I took him down before it got dark.

The elevator had an amazing view

Once we got back up to the room, Dust and I got cleaned up and headed out for a date night! We drove around until we found a little dive bar and settled in for the evening. We had a great time together. After dinner, we went to the local grocery store to get the kids some snacks for the week and to get breakfast and lunch options for us as well. Last stop was a decadent one. We treated ourselves to a milkshake before heading back to the condo.  I didn't get a single pic of our date because, well, I was too busy enjoying it :)

When we got back, our children were still wide awake. It didn't take much to get them to sleep and we spent the rest of the evening in our wing of the condo.

The next day was all beach and pool fun! My dad started us off with some yummy breakfast and afterwards we headed out for some fun in the sun. The weather was perfect and Xavier had the time of his life with his daddy. He is so blessed to have such a devoted and caring father! They played for hours and hours, whatever X wanted and by the time it dinner time, Xavier was exhausted!

We all came inside, got cleaned up, and headed out for dinner on the beach. We went to the "Surf Hut" which was delicious and less than a half mile from our resort.

Always with the blinking, Bledsoe!

After dinner, Dust stuck around to say goodbye and help me put the babies down  for nap. He was only able to stay for the weekend because of his patient load. We were so sad to see him go :( but of course sent him pictures and messages all week long! He was so missed!

After he left, I enjoyed the quiet out on the balcony. It was possibly my favorite part of vacation- ha! I love the ocean.

Of course, little guy woke up a little to early so we ended up napping together for a bit :)

We spent the rest of the evening relaxing in the condo with Mimi and Papa. The boys played with their new toys and we opened the sliding door to let in a breeze. Days like that are the best :)
