Easter

This year Easter was so much fun! Partially because it was Luke's first but also because Xavier has a complete understanding of these situations now so the his anticipation was hilarious!!

Easter celebrations began on Friday at school and continued Saturday morning when Mimi and Papa had a few packages delivered.

Cookies! Lots of cookies! So many cookies that I called my friends to come get some! It was a great lesson in sharing :D

That night, the Easter Bunny came! He left Luke a nice new toy and then lots of books, pacifiers and  play food. He brought X a cool toy (a bug vacuum), some books, an egg grabber for his hunt, an umbrella to match his new Spiderman raincoat and rain boots, and some flash cards, and treats :)

The next morning, Xavier rushed us all into the family room to see what the bunny had brought.
He dispersed the presents appropriately and had so much fun showing Luke all of his new presents.

We had the Easter egg hunt inside because it had been rainy and wet for days at this point. We decided to split up the hunt this year so that Luke could participate but also so that Xavier could be challenged (Dustin is very competitive....). So, I took Luke back to the nursery while Dustin and Xavier hid the eggs.

He did a great job! After we showed him the first one, he understood the game and  got all 6 that were hidden for him :)

By this time it was nap time so X went down and while he was sleeping Daddy hid the eggs. A few in the nursery and the rest in the family room. He did a great job and we had so much fun!

He ended up with TONS of eggs.

We just love days like this! We spent a lot of time reading Easter books and I shared with them the Easter story as well.

Baby's first Easter!

Here is some adorable footage of our day!

Hope y'all had a great one, too!
