Upgrade, Please!

By now it is obvious that Luke is growing rapidly! Recently, Dustin and I began discussing getting Luke new car seats for both vehicles, as he is not going to fit in the infant carrier much longer. After doing some research and giving it some thought, however, we came to the realization that Luke wasn't the one who needed new car seats...Bean was!

Let me start by saying that we did not make this decision lightly. I am a bit of a car seat cop and did tons of research before determining that Bean was actually ready for a booster seat. He had surpassed the 5-point-harness system measurements eons ago, and while it was still safe for him to be using his seats, it was unnecessary, he was uncomfortable, and complaining more and more.

So a couple weekends ago, we headed to Toys'R'Us where we picked out a new "big kid" seat for Beanie! Dustin threw two of them in the cart and off we went! You can see that he was ABSOLUTELY thrilled!

Dustin wasted no time and opened and installed one of the carseats right there in their parking lot. Xavier was so excited--it was adorable.

Now, he looks even more grown up. I can't believe how quickly this little guy is growing. Luke will get Xavier's old seats (a post coming on that soon). Meanwhile, Xavier is living the dream. His new found freedom is hilarious. Sometimes I see him wiggling in his seat and leaning over to see Luke (at stoplights, of course) just because he can. He LOVES his new carseats!
