His sleeping patterns are still unpredictable. One night, he will sleep for 12 hours uninterrupted and the next he will get up 3 times to eat. He is going down between 7PM and 8PM and is usually up for the day around 6:30AM. He still does not nap well at school. He will sleep for 10 minutes here and 20 minutes there. On the weekends when he is home, he will take longer 1-2 hour naps typically.
So, he is still not rolling which is fine considering many babies won't until they are 6, 7 even 8 months. He is twisting his whole body and he is lifting his legs really high...he just isn't doing it at the same time! We recently had to take the headrest out of his infant carseat because he is too tall for it. Since doing this, he lifts his head nearly the entire drive to look and see what X is doing in the seat next to him. This has improved his neck strength a lot.
He still hates tummy time. He is good for a handful of minutes and then comes unraveled. He prefers to be sitting up high in a position where he can see everything that is going on. My parents bought him an exersaucer which he will sit in for 45ish minutes. He also likes to just sit on the couch or in Xavier's orange chair. Basically, he likes to move...he doesn't want to stay in the same spot for too long.
Despite the fact that he is not rolling, he is starting to sit up! He has been doing this for 2 weeks. If I sit him up he can balance himself for nearly 5 minutes. It isn't pretty and partly he is depending on his rolls to stabilize him (haha) but it is making him stronger and he is doing this much earlier than X.
Speaking of X, we kept nearly nothing of Xavier's baby clothes once we found out Dot was a girl. What I did keep in his hope chest, however, we brought back out. Because Luke and Xavier were born the same week of the year, they should be wearing the same clothes at the same time. We are finding, however, that while Luke can fit into the clothes X left behind, they are smaller and he is wearing them earlier than X did. Ha! Who would have thought that our little NICU baby would be chunkier than X?!
Luke is cooing and babbling a lot. He gets so excited when he sees Me, daddy and X. He is SO IN LOVE with Xavier. In the beginning X stressed him out but now he can't get enough! The feeling is mutual. Xavier is seriously the most amazing big brother and his world revolves around this baby!
Dustin and I are just so in love with these little boys <3
