4 Months!

4 months! We can't believe it :) We love our little guy more and more with each passing day!

The biggest change this month is definitely his head control and strength. He does NOT enjoy tummy time so it is a bit of a chore to make sure he gets it in each day. He is finally content laying on his back or in his vibrating chair and doesn't need us holding him every moment of the day but when it is tummy time, we have to be down their with him and keeping his mind off of the fact that he is on his tummy :)  That being said, he has gotten WAY stronger and can hold his head up and push up on his elbows for extended periods of time. He has started kicking his little legs, and the madder he gets, the closer he is to turning or "rolling." We still have a ways to go with that, however, and that is ok! He is by no means behind, he is just behind Xavier... :)

Luke is very alert. He follows anything and everything around the room and has even started turning his neck and body so as not to lose his line of sight. HE SMILES AROUND THE CLOCK. He is the happiest little thing you've ever seen. He has a MUCH bigger personality than X did at this age. All you have to do is look at him and he starts giggling :) He is still a Mama's boy (in fact for several meals he nearly insists I am the one to feed him and refuses to take a bottle from Dust) but he loves Daddy too and he has started to warm up to Xavier's "in-your-face" ways! He still isn't a big fan of Midnight which is funny because X LOVED Midnight from day 1.

Like his brother, he is off the charts size wise. He is now in size 3 diapers and 9-12 month clothing. I would estimate his weight to be 18 lbs. He was 17.4 lbs the middle of last month while sick but we go for his 4 month well in a couple days so I'll know his weight and height at that time.

We have continued to spread out shots as much as possible. We are so pleased with the outcome. He has had hardly in adverse effects due to the shots. Besides one evening of lethargy afterward, he is his bubbly self!

He is sleeping pretty well. He typically goes down for the night between 8:00 and 9:30. It's about 50/50 on whether he will get up twice in the night to eat. A week ago it was almost never twice but lately he has reverted back to a midnight and 3 AM feeding. It just depends on the day.

He is excellent at daycare. His teachers tell me at least once a week how good he is. It is rare that he has crying fits these days-- very rare! He doesn't nap well throughout the day but we are ok with that because he sleeps so well at night.

We just love him to pieces and can't wait to watch this little guy grow!
