Spoiler Alert: Everything is FINE!!!
On Monday March 30th, I woke up worried. I hadn't felt Luke move nearly as much over the weekend as I typically do. Also, I had a crazy amount of pressure in my lower abdomen and it was so uncomfortable that I couldn't walk upright.
I got ready for work and completed all of my morning tasks per usual, telling myself it was fine. I HAD to be at work that morning as my kiddos were taking the statewide standardized tests all week. Once I got to work, the pain/pressure became worse and worse and it took no time for my friends to notice. I decided to call the doctor and they urged me to come in immediately. My principal arranged for someone else to test my kids and told me to worry about nothing but the baby and I. Everyone was so wonderful and they hurried me out to my car.
Once I arrived at the doctor, they took me back for a sonogram. Everything was fine. More than fine- Luke was still just as perfect as the last time I'd seen him. He was moving and his heartbeat was 158.
She explained that I wasn't feeling as much movement because his little rear end was sitting on my pelvic floor and his feet were stretched and scrunched in the same tiny area. The pressure I was feeling was his movement, just in a different way than I was used to. He is still breach which they were mildly concerned with but it shouldn't be too big of a deal because I'm having a C-Section.
All in all, it was scary but I am glad I went to get it checked out. The staff at the doctor mentioned that they were surprised after Penelope's pregnancy that it took me this long to have a bit of a scare when I mentioned that I felt silly.
So, we are at 29 weeks 5 days and everything is still perfect! Praise the Lord! :)
