Birthday Trip: Away at the Beach

After SeaWorld, we headed to the west coast of Florida, back to our old stomping grounds! We've chosen this spot a few times since moving. We SO loved living in Seminole so we chose a hotel near our favorite part of that beach in Indian Rocks. As we were driving in the memories came flooding back! I have to admit I got teary eyes. SO many things happened while we lived in this area. So many things have happened since. It was nice to be back. :)

We drove the boys by our old house before making our way to the condo. The changes that have taken place since we lived in this area are UNREAL. Some areas were unrecognizable!

Our sweet little house- Xavier's very first!

We love this hotel. My parents used to stay here often when they would visit us. It is right on teh beach and has the most beautiful jungle/garden pool area!

First stop was obviously the beach!

Guess who gave them permission to get wet in their clothes....I will give you a hint. It wasn't me.

We spent the evening playing outside and then turned in early after a long day at the theme park.

Early the next morning while everyone was sleeping, I snuck out and made the drive to Fray's donuts. It was Luke's 3rd birthday and he needed a special breakfast! This was our favorite donut shop when we lived here and Dustin and I were very excited about this meal! LOL

Birthday Baby!

We ate a leisurely breakfast and then made our way out to the beach!

Dustin did a lot of the work while I documented with pictures! LOL

We also played by the pool all day. Back and forth we went. It was amazing and exactly what our little family needed :)

Perfect 10, Dust!
After a full day in the sun, we came in for Luke's birthday dinner and cake! He got to choose any restaurant he wanted and in true 3 year old fashion he chose a happy meal!

After dinner it was birthday song time!

Luke had a wonderful day turning three and we are so happy he is ours :)

The rest of our vacation was spent by the pool, at the beach, at fun restaurants and touristy spots. We played and played and played!!

I also decided coffee with a view of my people swimming happily tastes better :)

After a few days away, we were refreshed and closed out our trip the way we always do in this area...with trip to Sloppy Joes, our favorite restaurant!

And before we knew it, it was time to head home!

This year's borthday trip was a success. We had the very best time :) The birthday boys were celebrated, Luke especially since his day fell on the trip. Don't worry, X was spoiled, too, and had more fun to come :)
