1,000th Post!

Almost six years ago, on July 7, 2012, I was a brand new mommy whose first baby was about to turn one month old. I was panicked that "so much time had already passed" and I was afraid I wouldn't remember all of it. I can remember telling Dustin that I had thought of starting a blog but I had already missed so much (1 month) and wasn't sure it would be worth it at this point. Looking back now, this is laughable. He encouraged me to start it and so I did.

From that day on, I have devoted countless (COUNTLESS!) hours taking pictures and organizing, typing and publishing posts. I have wanted to throw in the towel many times because, y'all, this is a lot of work! But, I have continued through even the saddest and busiest seasons of life because I know my babies and I will look back on this labor of love and be thankful that all of our special moments can be found in one place.

In 6 years, this blog has demonstrated how beautiful life can be. The emphasis on this blog is almost always on the positive and my babies bring me such joy that it is easy to do. However, this blog has also shown how unkind life can be.

I have deep love for my family. I hope that my children never question that. And so, in honor of our 1,000th post, here are a couple of my favorite pictures :)
