Thanksgiving Break

This year for Thanksgiving, we opted to stay home and celebrate- just the four of us. It was such a wonderful break! The babies and I were off Wednesday-Sunday. Dust worked a half-day Wednesday and then was with us the rest of the time :)

While Dust worked Wednesday morning, the babies and I headed to the grocery store to pick up all the things we would need for our Thanksgiving dinner.

That evening, Dust played with the babies while I made our Thanksgiving dessert. Also, I organized the kitchen so that making dinner the following day would be less stressful.

Because there were just a few of us eating, we opted for Cornish Hens this year instead of a whole turkey. It worked out well! It was funny to watch Bean's reaction to them before they were cooked. He swore off chicken right then and there...until his came out of the oven :)

Watching Mama Cook

First Thanksgiving!

While our feast was cooking, Lukey enjoyed his Thanksgiving bananas!

Once the food was ready, we dug in! We had the chicken, corn, mashed potatoes, Deneen's noodles and corn bread. I must admit, it turned out pretty good :)

Yum!

Kid Table!

Of course Xavier ended up asking for a peanut butter sandwich...

Post-dinner snuggles

He loved the pumpkin sheet cake dessert :)

We had a beautiful day together and  were lazy all day! It was great!

Those eyes!

Turkey Coma

The rest of the weekend was spent doing housework, yardwork, cooking and playing with the babies! Luke discovered the reindeer that sings (Thanks again, Grandma Lucy!) and was obsessed with it.

Oh, this baby has my heart!

On Saturday, we had family photos taken and can't wait to see how those turn out...

Cute butt! :)

Amy, the Great!

Then more snuggles :)

We played so hard that Beanie fell asleep at my feet in the nursery while I was rocking LB!

Sunday meant more family time. Also, Beanie and I attended a birthday party while Daddy stayed home with Luke.

Pet turtles!

Once we got home, Beanie told Luke ALL about it and even shared his bubbles!

We topped off the evening with a little fire and sat around and just enjoyed the beautiful evening.

This was another wonderful holiday at the Bledsoe household :)
