So, this soccer season, Beanie was finally old enough to join a team! I started researching leagues this summer and quickly found that "Warner" was the best company to go with. I signed him up in June and we have been getting him excited about it ever since. A couple weeks before it started, we all went to the local sporting good store and let him pick out soccer socks, shin guards, cleats and a water bottle (which I had specialized just for him :)
Finally, the morning of September 12th arrived....and practice was rained out :(
Boo :(
Well, fast forward a week, and we woke up to a gorgeous Saturday morning!! Unfortunately, daddy had to work but Mama took a million pictures and videos for Beanie to share when daddy got home! Also, Daddy has take a couple of the Saturdays in the future off so that he can attend with us!
Excited!
So excited!!!
Off we go!
When we arrived, I couldn't believe how big/busy the park was! There were at least 20 fields. It would have been very intimidating had I not arrived early with plenty of time to get situated. We hurried to the chick in desk and were pointed in the right direction. I was a little worried that Xavier would get nervous with the extra wait time but when his coach, Coach Charles, called him name, he ran right to him and left me and baby in his dust! :)
We spent the next 40 minutes watching him play games that taught the rules of soccer and kicking goals. He had an absolute BLAST! He loved it and went on and on and on about how he wanted to come back next week and about how he wanted to show daddy all the pictures!
Water Break!
I know I am partial and convinced that he is amazing at everything he attempts, but he really was amazing! He listened to all of his coaches directions with the exception of one excersise in which he got mixed up. He was focused, he followed along, and he LOVED it! I am so proud of him and as we left I was just overjoyed to have spent such a beautiful Saturday morning with my little guys! We can't wait until next week when daddy can join us!
