Well, with all of the excitement around here, our little Bean Pod has truly stepped up and been amazing! Though it is a bit tardy, I thought I would update you all on our newly three-year old :)
He is currently weighing 46 pounds and is still 39 inches tall. He is so smart. The things that he comes up with and the ideas that he has just blow me away. His inferring and use of context clues is honestly remarkable. He is full-on, without hesitation talking at this point. He uses at least 3 new words every single day. He comes home from school (thank you God for his school) with new information every day!
His latest obsession is eye color. He has to tell me the color of every person/character/animal's eyes that he sees. He is utterly obsessed with animals. If we see one he goes on for days about each particular encounter. He has "blossomed" this summer. Though he is still shy at times, he now is comfortable being silly more often at school and in public. He's not so serious. He dances around the house, puts everything into a song, and is learning a lot this way! He can now ride his tricycle all by himself. He has really taken over the chores that involve Midnight. I think my favorite part of the day is just watching him take everything in. He is a sponge!
He has become a "big boy" since Luke's birth. He just "gets it." If we ask him to do something, he does it (usually). He rarely has a meltdown. He is such a nurturer to our LB and wants to be involved in every part of the process. He is amazing. Every interaction between he and Luke starts with "Hello Baby!" and he keeps a watchful eye on his little bro. He has not been jealous at all. He has fully embraced our newest lifestyle change. He's really very mature. And oh, how he loves his baby!
Our goals for this summer (though a little lofty) are writing his name and identifying each letter in the alphabet (he can currently only identify 4 or 5). Another goal was to work on "clean up time" but he has really taken that on since we've moved into our new home.
I could go on and on and gush all day about this precious boy. He is our sunshine :)
