It's a Boy!

Baby Luke Easton Bledsoe is due June 14, 2015 :)

Because we just couldn't bear the thought of waiting until my gender sonogram with my OB on January 19, we decided to schedule a gender sonogram with a local company, "The Prenatal Experience." We did this with Penelope and were thrilled to know sooner than normal what we were having. We were so glad we did it after we lost her as well because it was just one more encounter we shared with our little darling.

We went to the ultrasound on the Friday before Christmas. Our appointment was at 5 PM and when we arrived at 4:35, she was ready to take us early! Unfortunately, I didn't take near as many pictures at this time as I am always panic stricken before waiting to hear baby's heartbeat.

She sat me on the high bed in the suite and Bean and Dust sat on the comfy couch next to me. There was a big screen TV in front of us for our convenience. Before the sonographer started, she asked us what we thought it was. Xavier said "boy!" and Dust and I felt the same way. Well, it didn't take but 30 seconds for her to see our little boy! We were overjoyed to learn that Xavier would have a little brother.

Boy or Girl?

Watching Luke on the Big Screen!

We watched our baby move and kick and listened to his heartbeat for about 20 minutes before our session was over. We walked away with a goody bag, lots of pictures and a video of the experience!
We hope to have the video up within the next couple weeks :)

After getting this joyous news, we celebrated with dinner at Outback. We thought this was fitting as this is where we were 6 months prior when we decided we definitely wanted to try again.

We cannot wait to meet our little Luke! We are almost half way there!

Baby!
Sidenote: The next day, I spent a large amount of time trying to create a cute gender reveal. Needless to say there were some definite bloopers!

  1. Your due date - June 14th just happens to be our 31st anniversary.
Xavier`s birth-date was my dads birthday.
    Looking forward to next up-date.
