Happy Birthday to Our Baby Boy!!!

Saturday June 8th our precious Xavier turned 1 year old. It's amazing to me how quickly time has passed. It seems such a short time ago that he came into this world and we held him for the first time <3

Dustin and I decided months ago that we would take a Disney trip to celebrate his first birthday. It seemed very appropriate :) So, Friday evening, after we had gotten off work, gone to the gym, and ran a few errands, we headed for Orlando! We decided to stay over night even though we only live 90 minutes from Disney. That way we didn't have to worry about parking, traffic, etc. We stayed on Disney property in Downtown Disney. We got a fairly good rate at the Holiday Inn Express and it was newly renovated and very nice. We had a gorgeous view of Orlando and could see parts of Disney as well as all the way downtown and to Universal Studios.

We got in pretty late. Xavier slept the whole way to the hotel and woke up right as we laid down to go to sleep at midnight. He was wide awake! He always gets really excited when he sleeps in the same bed as us so when we arrived and he saw the big king bed, he was wired! It took a while, but I got him back to sleep by 1 AM.

The next morning, he woke us up bright and early at 6 AM. We took our time getting ready and drinking coffee. After discussing it, we decided to reserve the same room for Saturday night too so that we could take our time at the park and didn't have to worry about driving home after a long day.

After getting ready, we took the first shuttle from our hotel to The Magic Kingdom.

Once we got to Ticket and Transportation, Dustin decided to take the ferry across to the park rather than the monorail. It took foreverrrrrrrr. While waiting on the monorail, Deneen called to wish Beanie Baby a happy birthday!

After a 20 minute wait/ride, we had arrived at The Magic Kingdom! I must admit I was slightly giddy...I could NOT wait to spend the day with our perfect little family at the happiest place on earth!
