First Date Post Baby! :)

Thursday, Dustin and I were able to go on our first date since Beanie was born. Yay!!

Love!

For a "baby gift" a few months ago, our friends Kristin and Colleen got Dustin and I a gift certificate to a nice restaurant and the movies. Until Deneen came into town, we really had no babysitter or time to enjoy these nice gifts. We took advantage of the opportunity and decided to get away for a few hours and just enjoy each other :)

First family pic!

Before leaving, I went over everything with Deneen once more. I knew that she was perfectly capable (she had two kids herself, duh!) but I worry about everything so we went over sleep schedules, eating schedules, diaper schedules....you get the idea.

I'll be fine, mama!

After drilling Deneen (hehe) we snapped a couple quick pics and off we went! We were both excited :)

See ya!

We went to dinner first. We ate at a restaurant called "Parkshore Grill."  It is located in downtown St. Pete, on the water.

When we arrived, at the restaurant, I of course began taking pictures and documenting everything.

This is his "Stop taking pics" face.
We ordered, ate, and enjoyed each others company. After 9 years of going to dinner together and only 9 weeks of being parents, it was already weird not having Bean with us!

Blue Lump Crab Cake to share :)

Dinner was delicious. Afterwards, we decided to walk up the street and look in the little stores. We stopped at an Italian gelato shop, Paciugo, for some yummy Italian ice cream. Dustin of course asked for about 15 samples before he chose what he wanted. The boy scooping his ice cream quickly became annoyed, but Dustin assured me that he didn't want to make a rash decision :)

So many different and unique flavors!

After gelato, we headed back to the car. We were off to the movie theater next. At this point, I must admit, I was missing my baby! When we got to the theater, Dustin ran to the bathroom so I took this opportunity to call Deneen! When we spoke, she assured me that everything was going fine and encouraged me to enjoy the movie. She told us to take our time and run any other errands that we needed to run while we were out. I got off of the phone and tried to not to worry about Beanie...but I could not help but miss him :(

Batman!

While we waited for the movie to start, I caught myself scrolling through pictures of Bean on my phone. Dustin proceeded to take my phone away..haha.

We watched the movie and enjoyed ourselves. It was nice! We had a wonderful time together! But after the movie, neither of us could get home fast enough to see our little Bean :)

They missed each other!
