Recently his teacher asked us if we would be interested in Xavier participating in the Accelerated Reader program at school. This is a program for 1st-5th graders at my school but she was confident that Xavier would thrive within the program even as a kindergartner so we went for it! Part of this program calls for Xavier reading books independently and then logging into a computer to take a comprehension test on what he read. He absolutely LOVES this and sees the challenge as exciting and motivating.
We are just so proud of him and all he does to be the best learner he can be. At a conference this fall with his teacher, she had nothing but amazing things to say about him both as a student and as a little human. We are proud of his straight A's but even prouder of comments like "gives 110% to everything he does" and "practices kindness" always.
