Jacksonville Trip 2017

We took a little trip to Jacksonville in late March/Early April. Dustin had to attend another conference for his license and we tagged along for a fun weekend! This conference was better than the last one in Panama City Beach because Dustin was able to hang out with us a lot more! He finished his day much earlier and was able to take breaks with us throughout the day :)

We woke up bright and early on Friday morning (we all took a personal day :) and headed for Jacksonville. Upon arrival, Dustin had to check into his first class but then we were able to go to a fun family breakfast and walk in the square.

Here we go!

Maple Street Biscuit Company is delightful!

The boys loved playing in this little square!

After exploring the square, we took daddy back to his conference and the boys and I headed for one of their favorite places...the Zoo! I was reluctant to brave it alone but I must admit that the babies were amazing and we had the best time! We arrived at opening and played for close to 5 hours! We bought the value ticket so that we could go on unlimited train rides, carousel rides, pet the stingrays, and much more! We certainly got our moneys worth!

By the time I packed up the car and got in, Luke was already fast asleep in his carseat :)

It wasn't long after that Beanie was asleep, too!

Meanwhile, I drove back to the conference to grab Dust. It was 2:30 by now and he was heading with us to check into our hotel.

Xavier took our picture! LOL
 Cool views of downtown Jax...

After checking into the hotel, we headed to our favorite restaurant, Cheesecake Factory!!

After dinner it was back to the hotel for some swimming! :)

By the time night struck, we were all exhausted and slept soundly until the next morning. Dustin took Beanie down for breakfast and they brought Luke and I back some fruit.

Breakfast with daddy!
After getting dresses, it was off to the conference for Dustin and the beach for the boys and I!

This was our first time visiting the Jacksonville beach! We stayed to play for a few hours and this proved to be more difficult than the zoo. Luke wanted to be in the water like Xavier but didn't know how far he could go. It was hard keeping a close eye on both of them! I was exhausted after this little excursion :)

Around lunchtime, we headed back to the hotel room for some lunch and a quick rest. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool :)

Next up snack time and some rest!

Luke napped great and Xavier got a little extra screen time :) It was eventually time to go get Dustin. We grabbed dinner and spent the rest of the evening by the pool.

We played in the hotel room a bit before everyone crashed :)

The next morning, the breakfast routine remained the same. We took Dustin to his last couple classes and spent our final morning swimming. With just an hour left, we went back up to the room, showered and got ready for the drive home.

We grabbed lunch on the way to get Dustin and off we went! Here are a few videos of our weekend!

We had a beautiful weekend full of great memories. I am so thankful that we have been able to give our babies all of these wonderful experiences. Living near so many great cities certainly has it's benefits!
