By the grace of God, I got an interview at the top rated elementary school in Leon County the day of Dustin's graduation. I should have known then, God had his hand in this :) Fast forward to when we got off the plane and landed in the Tampa airport the next day, and I had a voicemail asking me to accept the position!! Dustin and I were on cloud 9.
When I drove to the school with Bean in tow, a week later, I met my future team and they were amazing! Randi, my partner (I teach Language Arts and Social Studies and she teaches Science and Math) was so helpful and offered to help us move, to babysit, whatever she could do to help. I can't put into words how important their kindness was to me at this point in our lives when everything had been turned upside down. We became fast friends.
Randi has three children, two of which are girls who fell in love with our little Bean. They have babysat for us several times and Sydney, the youngest, has especially taken to X.
Anyway, last week, Randi texted me and told me that Sydney just HAD to come over immediately because she had a little gift for Baby Luke.
They came over on a Wednesday before heading to church and Bean, who is always excited for company, was more than willing to open Luke's gift :)

How special to have met some nice & caring friends, especially ones that you can trust with our precious Xavier. Nice gift for baby Luke!
