Mimi and Papa Come to Visit!

For the last three years, Dustin and I have shared one car. Insurance in Florida is just too expensive for us to pay for two vehicles so we had to start carpooling. For me, this wasn't nearly as much as a sacrifice as Dustin. I have to be in Tampa every morning by 7 so that meant that I had to drop Dust off at school at 630...when he didn't have class or clinic until noon. Also, Bean and I would have to go back and pick him up at 7 which is no problem except that is Bean's bedtime so he would fall asleep in the car and then wake up at home. It became very difficult to get him back to sleep. Long story short, it has been a very tiring and LONG three years.

Recently, my parents got a third vehicle and decided that they wanted us to use their extra car. They called their insurance company and found out that if the car remained in their name and they paid the insurance on it, we could borrow it and it was completely legal.

So they spent the last couple weeks getting new tires, breaks, oil change and getting a few scratches fixed. On Monday, they jumped in the car and headed for Florida :)

Dustin's new ride! :)

They arrived Tuesday evening and they had another surprise with them...my niece Layla! She came along for the trip :)

She ended up staying the night with us on Wednesday and went to school with me on Wednesday. I am teaching first grade for summer school and that is what grade she is in so it was perfect. We had a lot of fun! Meanwhile, my parents watched Beanie :) They too had a lot of fun.

We spent the remainder of the week at the pool, shopping, and dining :)

Worn out from swimmin'!

On Friday, we woke up and all headed to Orlando. They were heading home and we were heading to Orlando for Dustin's second powerlifting meet. We parted at dinner but this time it was not nearly as sad because we will be flying home in just 5 days! :)

Love them so much

We are truly so thankful to my parents for the gift they have given us. They have no idea just how much it means. They are so generous and we will never be able to repay them for all of the blessings they have bestowed upon us. We are a very blessed little family :)

  1. How blessed you both are to have such a loving, sharing family. Very happy for you to have less time driving. I`m officially on COUNT-DOWN til next week-end.
