7 month update :)

Just a quick update on Xavier!!

He is currently eating 4 meals a day. He eats chicken, sweet potatoes, squash, bananas and green beans (his favorite!) He has taken easily to everything except the chicken. We have to add it to his veggies. Dustin has taken on the task of making his baby food from scratch and it has saved us a lot of money! Also, this way we can ensure that he gets only organic foods :)

He is no longer nursing or receiving breastmilk :(

He is on number two foods and has been basically since he started eating solids. He can eat quite a bit! After each meal, he takes a 4 oz. bottle so this has also cut down our formula costs drastically as he was drinking 8oz per feeding six times a day.

As I am sure you have noticed in recent pics, he is a pro at sitting up now. He doesn't need anyone or anything to stabilize him. He sits up for very long periods of time.

He has also started standing up a lot more. He loves to hold onto us or the couch and look down. He finds it amazing that he is SO high off the ground :) He is getting stronger every day!

He is talking more than ever. He started with mama but now says dada constantly. He is also starting to use other syllables and sounds. He's hilarious.

He still weighs what he weighed at his 6 month checkup but has grown nearly an inch and a half! Clearly he is not "Lean" but he is starting to lean out. He is wearing 18-24 month clothes and he is still in size 4 diapers.

We've noticed lately that he has become a little spoiled when it comes to mama. He definitely expects more from me than Dust. When Dustin is watching him or "on duty" he will play contently regardless of what Dustin is doing. If I am in the vicinity, however, he expects me to be holding him or on the ground RIGHT next to him! I think that this happened because we had two weeks together for Christmas break and he got slightly more attached. I am trying to break him of it, but I hate to see him sad! Dustin says I am weak haha!

We are so thankful for a healthy, happy baby :)

  1. Loving all the holiday photo`s, but i can`t believe he went from sitting up alone to standing so quickly. Glad he is enjoying all the new food varieties. I love that you are doing this blog so we all can feel connected.
    Love you all!
