After 2 1/2 years of having tubes, Luke had what we believed to be an ear infection a couple months ago. He had drainage and pain. We knew that the tubes were making their way out of the canal at the last well checkup he had in June so we figured it was time to schedule a follow up appointment with his surgeon.
Daddy took Luke to see the ENT and we got all good news! While he did have an earache, the canal was functioning as it should and no meds were needed. it passed quickly. One tube has fallen out and the other is in the process of coming out. No new tubes are needed as his ears seem to be doing their job! We are so thankful that our sweet baby seems to be out of the woods as far as earaches are concerned. I wouldn't wish them on any baby...or parent!
