At his new school, student of the week is a big deal. Parents are encouraged to come in and spend time with their special kiddos. Dustin and I both wanted to make time for our favorite 4 year old so we worked it out to where we were both able to visit and make his week super.
On Monday, we sent in lots of cute pictures and a list of Xavier's favorites for his teacher to post on the "About Me" board. He went through lots of pictures with me and picked the ones he liked :)
On Wednesday, which also happened to be my birthday, I went in to his class and read 3 of Xavier's favorite books to his friends. I also brought along a special treat for his classmates of Xavier's choice. He wanted his friends to have a pink donut with sprinkles so mama delivered :)

After I read, they ate the special treat and were all so polite and thankful!

After the festivities, I packed up the babies and home we went :)
Fast forward to Friday and Dust went to have lunch with our special guy (and sent me picture updates the whole time :)
He also read a few books to the class that X chose from home and then he stayed to have lunch!
The best part about this visit was that it was show and tell day and the students were supposed to bring in something that started with the letter D. Xavier chose Dustin as his show and tell item and Dustin explained that not only was he a D for Daddy, but also a D for Dustin and a D for Doctor! the kids were amazed and X was so proud :)
We just LOVED celebrating this precious gift of ours! We love him so much and are so thankful for him :)
Wish all parents would take the time & care for their children as the two of you do.
ReplyDeleteWe're very proud of Xavier & all of his accomplishments thus far.
