You may remember when we lost Penelope, Mendenhall, the school I worked at in Tampa, bought us a Desert Rose in her memory. When we first moved to Tallahassee, it was winter, and cold (relatively) and the plant wasn't doing to well. We bought some new potting soil and some plant food and worked on it diligently to try to keep it alive and after a couple weeks, it was growing new blooms!
