We started the day with our annual 4th of July cookout at the Walkers. We have gone there to swim and eat lunch nearly every year we've been in Tallahassee. While at Publix getting the veggie tray for it, I came across the CUTEST cake and just had to bring it. The kiddos LOVED it!
We had a great time with friends and Amy showed Dust how to care for the chickens while they vacation in the coming weeks. :)

After the cookout, we went home to relax and decompress before our next outing. We left around dinner time and drove to Bristol, Florida to Dr. Farrah's (Dustin's partner) lake house. There we ate, swam in the lake (ok, they swam and I watched..), watched a boat parade and the most terrific display of fireworks ever!
The fireworks came from all directions around the lake it is is the first time we have taken the boys out "late" for fireworks. They LOVED it.
The next day, we set off the little guys that Dust always buys for the boys. Don't worry...they were small and not obnoxious! Plus, it poured in Tally on the 4th so most people shot off their fireworks the next day anyway!
We had such a great time and our boys can't wait to go back to the lake!
