This weekend, Xavier got his first haircut. It was a long time coming because he has my thick, long hair! It grows so fast! We...ok...I was very apprehensive. When I was little, I cut my younger sisters hair and her curls never came back! My mom still hasn't let me live that down. I was convinced if we cut it, his beautiful golden locks would never be the same.

| Lately, I have been pinning it back! I know, I know... |

| He has enough hair for my clips! |
Last week, however, I knew it was time. Susie told me that when he plays outside and gets hot, his bangs fall below his eyes and he has trouble seeing. I was mortified. On Sunday, Dustin basically forced me to let him get a trim. I agreed under the condition that we would do it at home. I only wanted his bangs cut and I was afraid that a hairdresser would lop it all off! So that evening, we gave him his evening bath and combed down his hair...

It was outrageous.
I couldn't bear to do it so Dustin took the plunge. He cut off about two inches solely from his bangs. I bawled like a baby.

After his hair dried, I quickly realized that there was nothing to cry about. His hair was just as luscious and curly as ever :) It looks the same except that it's not in his beautiful blue eyes :)

We survived!!
He looks so sad waiting for the hair-cut, but cute as ever afterward.
